To achieve this, we promote the following values within our community:

  1. Compassion: Caring deeply about the wellbeing of others is at the heart of our values. We believe in treating all individuals with compassion, acting with kindness and consideration towards their needs and wellbeing. We strive to help others from their perspective, seeking to reduce suffering and increase flourishing. We believe that compassion is essential in our efforts to create a better world.
  2. Prioritisation: We prioritise the most effective and impactful ways to improve the lives of others, recognising that resources are limited and hard choices must be made.
  3. Impartial altruism: We believe in treating all individuals with due consideration and care regardless of who they are, where or when they live, what species they belong to, nor any personal characteristics they have.
  4. Open truth-seeking: We are committed to seeking out evidence and using reason to guide our decisions. We are open to new approaches and willing to change our views based on new information. We strive to be transparent in our communication and decision-making.
  5. Personal and collective responsibility: We encourage members to take personal responsibility for their charitable giving and to carefully consider how they can make the greatest positive impact, while also recognising the collective responsibility we have as a community to work collaboratively towards a better world.
